About Us
Diabetes has become a primary medical and social problem in the Republic of Armenia
Compared to 2011, a 17.8% increase in the disease was recorded among children aged 0-17 in 2013. A similar increase is observed among adults and in cases of type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Our main goal is to help improve the quality of life of people with diabetes in Armenia and prevent the disease by providing proper advice to minimize the development of acute and chronic diseases among people with diabetes.
In other words, to be not only an advisor and supporter, but also a mediator for this group in the process of their involvement in society and providing information, thus contributing to overcoming social and economic problems.

What is Diabetes
Diabetes is a disease caused by a disorder in the production of the hormone insulin
Insulin is produced by the pancreas. Mainly, insulin dysfunction is manifested by elevated blood sugar.
Diabetes mainly has 2 types - first (type 1) and second (type 2). Besides these, there are also very rare types.
Type 1 Diabetes
Usually develops in children and young adults. Requires insulin treatment.
Type 2 Diabetes
Most common form. Often develops in adults over 40. Can be managed with lifestyle changes.
